As an educator, I belive the most important tool teachers have is our collective intelligence.  I would like to use this class to find out how we can communicate mathematical language effeciently accross the internet without having to use an equation editor.  Mathematical language can be complicated with all the use of symbols and abstract representation, but it does allow for compacting the language.  For example: An integral in symbol form displays much information without using much space.  Is it possible to do this effeciently over the internet?  Microsoft has an equation editor but it is slow to use and then each document has to be attached.  Not very efficient.  Is there a better way?
